Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms Launches Charity Cycle Challenge

Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms Glasgow

Scottish retailer Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms is bringing back its Cycle Challenge this September as part of its ongoing drive to raise £25,000 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity and support the vital work carried out by the charity for children and families across Scotland.

Taking place from Tuesday 1st to Saturday 5th September, the challenge will see teams across the business come together to cycle a combined target of 2,500 miles over five days - the equivalent of cycling from Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms’ doorstep to the Pyramids of Giza.

Exercise bikes will be set up at the company’s Edinburgh showroom, and their two Glasgow locations on Hillington Road and Montrose Avenue, with staff taking part in allocated 15 minute slots throughout the day. The aim is to keep the bikes continuously moving from 8.30am until 5.30pm each day, helping the teams reach the ambitious 2,500 mile target.

Staff, family members and friends are encouraged to get involved, with participants able to choose how many 15 minute slots they take part in and how often they cycle across the five-day challenge.

Customers and members of the local community are also encouraged to support the challenge by donating and helping Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms reach its £25,000 fundraising target for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. Donations can be made through their Just Giving page here.

Brian Toward, CEO of Wholesale Domestic, commented on the fundraising campaign, saying: "Our Cycle Challenge has always brought out the best in this team, and I know this September will be no different. Asking colleagues to help cycle a combined 2,500 miles is a big ask, but it's exactly the kind of challenge our people love getting behind.

“Every 15 minute slot pedalled and every pound donated brings us closer to our £25,000 target for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity, and closer to making a real difference for the children and families who rely on their care. I'd encourage staff, family, friends, customers and our wider community to get involved, whether that's jumping on a bike or simply sponsoring someone who is."
