Wickes launches new digital campaign

Amscreen, a digital media network owner located in the U.K., has teamed up with Home Improvement retailer Wickes to deliver what is believed to be the quickest ever turnaround on a national digital out-of-home campaign, said the company.

No less than 40 minutes after agreeing to the campaign and providing copy, the one-day campaign for the Home Improvement retailer’s catalogue went live on the Amscreen network, broadcasting on more than 1,500 screens throughout the U.K., said the company. The campaign, shown on the company’s forecourt screens, is predicted to be seen more than 2.9 million times in the next 24 hours and was secured by Amscreen’s exclusive media sales partner Digicom, according to the company.

“We are delighted to be carrying a one-day campaign for national home improvement retailer Wickes that would normally only be communicated in national press or radio,” said Simon Sugar, CEO of Amscreen, Loughton, Essex, U.K. “Despite receiving and approving copy late yesterday, we were still able to have the campaign displayed nationwide within minutes. We don’t believe this has ever been done before but our unique technology enables us to respond to client needs immediately in a way no other network owner can. This campaign is proof that clients are increasingly turning to Amscreen as a cost-effective addition to national press when booking last-minute campaigns.”
