Wickes Opens New Northampton Store On Former Homebase Site

• Cllr Jane Birch opens new Wickes store in Northampton Riverside, marking its second store in the area, creating 16 new local jobs

• The new store is located at Riverside Retail Park, 1-5 Fairground Way, Northampton, NN3 9HU, and to mark the launch, shoppers can enjoy 15% off from 12-14 December

Northampton's Mayor, Cllr Jane Birch, officially opened the new Northampton store today, continuing the retailer’s ongoing investment in its store network. This marks the fourth and final former Homebase location to be converted into a Wickes store.

The new 20,005 sq ft Wickes store features a 5,615 sq ft Outdoor Project Centre and 4,245 sq ft showroom, showcasing an all-new kitchen and bathroom display designed to inspire every home project, whatever the budget. Customers can explore a wide range of products, benefit from a Dulux paint mixing service, and receive expert guidance in the in-store Project Centre. The store also offers solar solutions to help customers make their homes more energy-efficient, along with disabled parking and EV chargers in the retail park.

In-store Design Consultants are available to offer Wickes’ free Kitchen and Bathroom design service, helping customers plan with confidence. Our trusted installation service ensures a flawless finish, while customers can also take advantage of 15-minute Click & Collect or the new Rapid Delivery service, delivering eligible local orders to their door within three hours.

To celebrate the opening, all customers can enjoy 15% off in-store from 12th - 14th December. Trade customers will find a wide range of essential products, including timber, power tools, and cement, from trusted names such as Bosch, Blue Circle, and Knauf. TradePro members also benefit from 10% off every shop, plus regular exclusive rewards and offers, including fuel savings and more.

Colleagues at the new store have already supported the local food bank, Restore Northampton, by assisting with their ongoing project to revamp their storage area.
