Wickes Opens New Store In Southport

• Wickes opens a new store in Southport next to its former location, creating 20 new local jobs, with 7 existing employees transferring from the previous site next door

• The new store is located at Unit 4/A, Kew Retail Park, Southport Road, Southport, PR8 5RG, and to mark the launch, shoppers can enjoy 15% off from 24–26 October

Wickes has officially opened its new store in Southport today, providing the community in Southport with a much broader and more convenient shopping experience. Located next door to the former Kitchen & Bathroom store, the new site marks the latest step in the retailer’s ongoing investment in its store network and now offers the full Wickes home improvement range.

The new 30,355 sq ft Wickes store features a dedicated 4,135 sq ft showroom, showcasing an all-new kitchen and bathroom display designed to inspire every home project, whatever the budget. Customers can explore a wide range of products, benefit from a Dulux paint mixing service, and receive expert guidance in the in-store Project Centre. The store also offers solar solutions to help customers make their homes more energy-efficient, along with disabled parking and EV chargers in the retail park.

In-store Design Consultants are on hand to provide Wickes’ free Kitchen and Bathroom design service, helping customers plan with confidence, while the trusted Wickes installation service ensures a smooth finish. Customers can also make use of our 15-minute Click & Collect and the new Rapid Delivery service, bringing eligible local orders to their door within three hours. 

To celebrate the opening, all customers can enjoy 15% off in-store from 24th - 26th October. Trade customers will find a wide range of essential products, including timber, power tools, and cement, from trusted names such as Bosch, Blue Circle, and Knauf. TradePro members also benefit from 10% off every shop, plus regular exclusive rewards and offers, including fuel savings and more.

As part of the new store’s launch, the Wickes Community Programme will continue to thrive in the area, providing local non-profit groups and organisations with donated tools and materials to help enhance and support community spaces. Colleagues at the new store have already supported the Southport WCP Woodland Animal Sanctuary by volunteering to paint and enhance facilities for the rescued animals.
