Wickes to open in Haverhill, Suffolk
HPG Developments, part of the Cambridge-based Howard Group, has gained planning consent for a mixed-use scheme in Haverhill, Suffolk.
The Hamlet Green scheme is to be built on the former 6.5 acre Workspace Office Solutions site on Ehringshausen Way, bought by Howard Group in 2008. Planning permission has been granted for 11 business start-up units, nine warehouses, three bulky goods retail units, a Wickes store and a drive-through restaurant.
HPG director William Jewson said: “We have always regarded Haverhill as good town with excellent development opportunities. The town has a substantial mix of commercial and residential development in the pipeline, which will help bring much needed long term prosperity to create future growth and job opportunities”.
HPG is spending £12m on the scheme and the letting agents are Bidwells and King Sturge.
