Wickes welcomes former Sainsbury’s executive as new operations director

Martin Roberts joined DIY retailer Wickes last week and will undergo a “comprehensive induction programme”, before he officially takes up his position as operations director in the New Year.

Previously Roberts held a number of senior posts at Sainsbury’s, and sat at a member of the retail and executive board.

With 20 years of retail experience Roberts will replace David Furness, who left Wickes in July to become new zone managing director for the north at Sainsbury’s.
