British Garden Centres Shortlisted for National Business Charity Awards

British Garden Centres - Greenfingers

British Garden Centres has been shortlisted for the Business Charity Awards 2026, recognising the strength and impact of its long‑standing partnership with Greenfingers Charity, which supports the creation of therapeutic gardens for children’s hospices across the UK.

The shortlist celebrates organisations that demonstrate meaningful, values‑led collaboration between business and charity. British Garden Centres’ partnership with Greenfingers Charity was entered in the Mid‑Term Partnership category, highlighting several years of sustained commitment, fundraising and hands‑on support.

Since forming the partnership, British Garden Centres has helped raise significant funds, donated plants and materials, and mobilised teams across its nationwide network to support the design and build of gardens that provide comfort, play and respite for children with life‑limiting conditions and their families. This collaborative approach has embedded social purpose at the heart of the business, while delivering tangible, long‑lasting impact for hospices across the UK.

Amy Stubbs, Managing Director at British Garden Centres, said: “We are incredibly proud to be shortlisted for the Business Charity Awards. Our partnership with Greenfingers Charity is one that means a great deal to everyone across British Garden Centres, and it perfectly reflects our values as a family‑run business. Seeing the difference these gardens make to children and their families is truly special, and this recognition is a testament to the dedication of our teams, our customers and the incredible work Greenfingers do.”

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Greenfingers Charity, added, “We’re absolutely delighted to see our partnership with British Garden Centres recognised in this way. Being shortlisted for the Business Charity Awards is a powerful reflection of what can be achieved when shared values and commitment come together. Their continued support is enabling us to create more beautiful, therapeutic gardens for children in hospices across the UK, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has played a part in making this partnership so meaningful.”

The Business Charity Awards 2026 celebrate excellence in corporate-charity partnerships, and all winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place in May 2026.
