Springboard High Street Index - Week 37 2022
2022 vs 2021 = +12.1%
2022 vs 2019 = -16.7%
Week-on-week = +6.2%
Springboard's Marketing and Insights Director, Diane Wehrle, said:
Footfall activity rose last week in what was undoubtedly the most significant week for the UK in recent times, following the passing of her Majesty the Queen on 8th September.
Footfall rose across all UK retail destinations, although all the increase emanated from high streets, in particular Central London and in other city centres across the UK, with no increase over the week in shopping centres and retail parks. However, it was a week of two halves for all three key destination types, with a far greater increase in activity from Thursday onwards than over the period up to and including Wednesday.
