Google rumoured to be opening first permanent retail store

US press has reported that Google is understood to be in the process of finalising a lease on its first permanent retail store.
The store is located in the Fulton market district of Chicago, not far from Google's Midwest headquarters, and is around 14,000 square feet in size.
Over the years, Google has experimented with pop-up demo experiences and, in October 2017, opened temporary pop-up stores in Los Angeles and New York, which remained open until the end of December to cover the peak shopping season.
Google did not confirm or deny the reports, stating : "we don't comment on rumor or speculation."
