Magnet Makes Two Senior Leadership Appointments

Magnet Guy Tooth L and Rupert Nichols R

The UK’s leading kitchen specialist, Magnet has recently strengthened its executive leadership team with two senior appointments, welcoming Rupert Nichols as Customer and Commercial Director and Guy Tooth as Supply Chain Director.

The appointments come as Magnet builds momentum behind its three-year growth plan and moves forward as a standalone UK business under new ownership.

Rupert brings more than 15 years of senior leadership experience across retail and ecommerce, with a strong track record of driving customer-led growth and commercial transformation.

Most recently, Rupert was Customer and Commercial Director at Toolstation. Prior to this he held senior leadership roles at Studio Retail, Dixons Carphone and Sainsbury’s.

In his new role, Rupert will lead Magnet’s customer and commercial teams, focusing on strengthening the customer proposition, expanding market reach and delivering sustainable growth.

Rupert Nichols, Customer and Commercial Director said: “With a strong foundation and a talented team already in place, I’m really looking forward to being part of the next phase of the Group’s journey.

“Magnet is a strong brand with a trusted reputation, supported by long-standing partnerships with our suppliers. My focus will be on building on those strengths while ensuring even more homeowners discover the brand and experience what makes our kitchens so special.”

Alongside Rupert’s appointment, Guy Tooth joins Magnet as Supply Chain Director, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience across supply chain and operations in manufacturing-led environments.

He has held senior roles at Greencore, Morrisons and PepsiCo, and most recently served as Operations and Supply Chain Director at Moores Furniture Group.

Guy Tooth, Supply Chain Director said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Magnet at such an exciting point in its journey. The business has already made great progress, and there’s a clear opportunity to now build on that by strengthening how our UK supply chain supports both our customers and our growth ambitions.

“I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and continuing to strengthen our manufacturing and delivery capabilities to ensure we deliver even greater value for our customers.”

Sophie Rose, CEO of Magnet Group, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Rupert and Guy to our business. Rupert brings strong commercial leadership and will play a key role in helping us continue to grow while staying firmly focused on delivering a high-quality experience for our customers.

“At the same time, our British manufacturing and heritage remain a real strength for us. With Guy’s hands-on manufacturing experience and deep knowledge of the KBB industry, he will play an important role in shaping a supply chain that’s fit for the future and supports our wider growth ambitions.”
