Pre-Tax Profit Rises at B&Q Ireland
In its latest accounts, B&Q Ireland reported flat sales of €85m and an increase in pre-tax profit.
In the year to end January 2018, pre-tax profit increased by €500,000 to €4m, courtesy of a reduction in administrative costs from €6.3m to €5.1m.
B&Q Ireland operates eight stores and employs around 550 staff.
Earlier this month B&Q's parent company, Kingfisher, reported on third-quarter trading, advising of a 2.9% decline in like-for-like sales at B&Q UK & Ireland.
