Renewables Centre Launches RenewablesPro to Support Installers Beyond Training
- A new free service from Wolseley’s Renewables Centre, designed to give installers practical support as they grow their business in renewables.
Wolseley has launched RenewablesPro, a free support system for installers working in renewables, with instant quoting, project tracking, sales and marketing advice and more. Available from Tuesday 23 June, it’s part of Wolseley’s Renewables Centre and is designed to back installers beyond their initial training, so they can take on renewables work with more confidence.
The need is clear. The Climate Change Committee says the UK must install 1.5 million heat pumps a year by 2035, nearly fifteen times last year’s volume. Yet 74 per cent of installers trained through the Heat Training Grant don’t complete a single heat pump installation within six months of qualifying, according to government figures cited in The Wolseley at Westminster report.
Training at Renewables Centre, delivered free in partnership with NAPIT, helps installers take their first step into renewables. RenewablesPro builds on that foundation, giving them practical, ongoing support to take on real jobs with more confidence.
RenewablesPro is completely free, installers just need a Wolseley trade account to register.
They'll get access to a system packed with tools, videos and guides, with more rolling out over the coming months.
Instant Estimate Tool
Generate a fast, on-the-spot estimate for a renewables job from just a few inputs, so installers can answer homeowner enquiries on the doorstep rather than chasing them up later.
The Hub
One dashboard to track every renewables job from first enquiry to completion. Quote progress, design submissions BUS grant applications and customer status all sit in one place, instead of being scattered across different systems and spreadsheets.
Sales and marketing content
An expanding library of practical videos and guides that show installers how to promote their business, improve customer communications and grow their renewables work.
Experienced installers including Mark Tiff and John Cruickshank share their knowledge and top tips, from talking to homeowners about heat pumps to using social media and adverts.
Service and maintenance referral
Installers who refer customers to a trusted service and maintenance partner will receive a £25 bonus for every sign-up.
Dan Marsden, Director of Renewables at Wolseley’s Renewables Centre, said: “The UK has set an ambitious heat pump target, and hitting it depends on a confident, capable installer base. Training is the first step, but it has to be backed by ongoing support. That’s why we built RenewablesPro.”
He adds: “We listened closely to the installers we work with. They need help with the parts around the job that hit their bottom line: quoting accurately, managing the admin and having the confidence to win and convert the work. One installer told us he lost £4,000 on a single job, not on the install, but on the gaps in pricing, knowledge and confidence. RenewablesPro is the first step in changing that, and everything inside is free.”
Installers can find out more about RenewablesPro at InstallerSHOW 2026, at the NEC, Birmingham from 23 to 25 June. The Renewables Centre team will be signing installers up, handing out exclusive merch and running the Become a Pro quick-fire challenge.
