Travis Perkins Showcases the Future of the Hire Industry at 2026 Expo

Travis Perkins Hire Innovation Day

Innovation in the hire industry and future trends were at the heart of a special Expo staged in Milton Keynes.

The annual Travis Perkins Hire Innovation Day saw more than 20 suppliers showcase the latest products entering the market, with battery-powered equipment and sustainable solutions as an increasing focus.

More than 400 Travis Perkins Hire colleagues attended the event at Stadium MK, the home of Milton Keynes Dons Football Club, and over £2,200 was raised through a raffle for the host company's nominated charity, Alzheimer's Society.

Ian Sharman-Jones, Managing Director of Travis Perkins Hire, said: "It was a superb day with great energy in the room and lots of meaningful conversations happening between colleagues and suppliers, who provided outstanding support.

"It was a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to upskill their knowledge and ensure that they return to branches armed with all the information around new products and latest trends to help our customers with their site solutions for their projects.”

With suppliers such as Kubota, Altrad Belle and Hilti demonstrating the latest technological advancements in their machinery, Travis Perkins colleagues engaged with exhibitors and asked questions that will ultimately benefit the tradespeople they serve.

The business' re-hire offering was also on full display, with GAP Hire Solutions and Reconomy showcasing products and services available through Travis Perkins Hire branches.

Ian added: "We are extremely proud that our branch network is the largest hire offering anywhere in the UK and our success is down to a huge team effort, with outstanding customer service at the heart of everything we do.

"Ensuring our colleagues are at the forefront of all the latest technology and innovation coming to the market is a vital part of that customer service and that's why this day has become such a highlight of the Travis Perkins Hire calendar.

"On top of the great networking opportunities the day provided, it was an honour to raise money for Alzheimer's Society, a charity that does so much great work for those affected by dementia."

Travis Perkins Hire has more than 56,000 fleeted assets available to hire across more than 270 branches, supplemented by a substantial re-hire offering.
