Wickes Completes Flag Trek Challenge for Suicide Prevention Charity CALM

Wickes concluded its nationwide Flag Trek Challenge across all 230 stores and Support Centres last Friday in Aberdeen, successfully raising funds and awareness for suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
Thanks to the Flag Challenge, Wickes has raised over £20,000, contributing to a total of over £500,000 raised so far since the partnership began in May.
Simon Gunning CEO of CALM said, “We’re thrilled to see Wickes colleagues across the UK come together for this amazing challenge. Every step, cycle, and signature will help raise awareness and vital funds to support CALM’s life-saving services. In the UK someone dies by suicide every 90 minutes, but by working together with Wickes, we can change this devastating statistic, giving more people their tomorrows.“
Andy Smith, Charity Chair at Wickes said, “This challenge is about more than just raising money – it’s about bringing every store and region together. “Our teams work incredibly hard every day, and this is a chance for all of us to feel part of one shared goal, while supporting an incredible charity that makes a real difference in people’s lives.”
Together, Wickes and CALM are committed to building a brighter, more supportive future for everyone, one where mental health is discussed openly, and no one believes suicide is their only option
