Sarah will report to Chief Operating Officer, Fraser Longden and will be responsible for Wickes’ current 232 store estate.  Sarah’s focus will be on delivering the business’s growth plans to refit around 12-15 stores per year, as well as open a further 20 new stores over the next five years, ensuring that this growth is achieved sustainably and aligned to Wickes’ responsible business strategy, Built to Last.

Sarah has held a number of senior management roles in property and procurement within the retail sector including four years at Aldi before becoming Director of Property, Procurement and Store Development at Homebase.  Her most recent role has been as Director of Purchasing for the British Virgin Islands leading retail group, Riteway.

Commenting on her new role Sarah said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be joining the Wickes team.  One thing that attracted me to the role was the fantastic Wickes culture. This is a company that genuinely supports people being their authentic self, whilst supporting growth and encouraging a winning environment; for me this is invaluable.  It’s a very exciting time for the business and I can’t wait to get started and help contribute to its continued success.”

She’s passionate about finding ways to reduce our environmental impact as we grow and will be a tremendous addition to our team and our culture.”
