Wickes To Cut Up To 200 Kitchen & Bathroom Advisor Roles

According to Kitchens & Bathrooms News, 500 members of staff at Wickes have been put into consultation. Of those, 200 are understood to be employed as kitchen and bathroom advisors.
It is understood that Wickes intends to increase the number of kitchen and bathroom design consultants, and affected employees are being offered roles elsewhere in the business where possible.
In today's half-year results announcement, Wickes said:
"Reflecting our continued focus on tight cost management, our planned productivity initiatives include savings in distribution and the cost benefits from technology investments in customer service. In addition, recently implemented changes to our Design & Installation operation, to simplify and improve the customer experience, will result in further cost savings."
