Wilko opens new store on Kensington High Street, London

On Tuesday 8th December Wilko opened a new store on Kensington High Street in London.
The special occasion was marked with a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by Sean Toal (Chief Operating Officer), Aidan Connolly (Chief Financial Officer), representatives from the Chelsea pensioners and Wilko store manager, Harlen Holden
To help shoppers stock up for the best Christmas ever, the team handed out free Wilko goody bags to the first 100 customers containing a £5 gift card, a pack of Christmas cards and a Wilko candle or photoframe. The day continued with lots of family entertainment, including Santa’s Brass Band playing outside the store and hot chocolate and mince pies for customers and passers-by.
Branch manager, Harlen Holding, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have made this move into such a high-profile shopping destination. We can’t wait to introduce Kensington to the Wilko range of great value, great quality products for the whole family to enjoy."
The store is the sixth Wilko to open in central London.
