Work begins in Paulton to convert former Focus store into Wickes
Work has now begun to turn the derelict former Focus store at Old Mills in Paulton into a new Wickes Building Supplies.
The building, that has stood empty since closure in 2011, is now a hive of activity with construction workers carrying out demolition work within the building.
Planning permission to turn the site into a new DIY store was granted earlier this year. The scheme will see around £2.2million invested into the site and around 50 jobs created.
The plans include the complete refurbishment of the building, with new entrances, a revised parking layout and a new landscaping scheme.
It is thought work will take around 16 weeks to complete.
